Depression Glass
True Depression Glass was manufactured mainly from the late 1920's through the 1940's in the colors of yellow, red, amber, pink, green, crystal, black, blue, and milk glass. Glassware made in the 1950's and the 60's often is also referred to as depression glass and made by many of the same Glass Companies like Anchor Hocking, Federal, Jeannette, Fostoria, Hazel-Atlas, Macbeth-Evans, Imperial, Indiana, and Westmoreland Glass, to name a few. Two great books, Depression Glass-The 16th Edition by Gene and Cathy Florence and Warman's Depression Glass-3rd edition are great identification and value guides and are highly recommended. Another great source of information is the National Depression Glass Association.
